Despite starting the match brightly with plenty of punches, Nasukawa was eventually overpowered as Mayweather ripped him apart.

Mayweather, who is also a former five-weight world champion retired from boxing with a perfect professional record of 50-0 in 2017.

While addressing the crowd, Floyd acknowledged the Japanese boxer as a worthy competitor, before dismissing speculation surrounding a return to professional boxing.

“I want to say thank you to Tenshin. This don’t go on our record,” he said.

“We are both still undefeated. He is a great champion and a great fighter. I am still retired, I don’t look to come back to boxing.

I came back for entertainment for the people of Japan,” he added.

Mayweather finally gifted the trophy to his defeated opponent in a show of class after the bout
