Court Clears Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Primeboy in Connection with Mohbad’s Death

In a significant legal development, the Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, has freed popular Nigerian musician Abdulazeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, in connection with the tragic demise of rising star Aloba Oladimeji IleriOluwa, also known as Mohbad. The ruling, delivered on Tuesday by Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, followed the legal advice provided by the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in Lagos, which determined that Naira Marley had no case to answer.

Along with Naira Marley, the court also cleared music promoter Samson Balogun Eletu (Sam Larry), Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde, of any involvement in the case. The decision to release all four individuals has stirred reactions among fans and the public, with many now looking to the next steps in the ongoing legal proceedings.

DPP to Prosecute Auxiliary Nurse and Friend of Mohbad

While the court exonerated Naira Marley and others, the DPP has announced plans to proceed with the prosecution of two individuals in relation to Mohbad’s death. Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated the late artist, and Ayobami Sadiq, one of Mohbad’s friends, are set to face charges for reckless and negligent acts under Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

Both individuals will be prosecuted at the Magistrate Court, with the case continuing to unfold in the coming weeks.

This latest development brings a new chapter to the highly publicized investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely death, as the public eagerly anticipates the next legal steps in the case.
