Swansea City Sack Manager, Paul Clement

Swansea City have sacked manager Paul Clement after a poor first half of the Premier League season.

The Swans, who narrowly avoided relegation last season, sit bottom of the top-flight table having won just three league matches.

Clement spend just short of a year in charge at the Liberty Stadium having replaced Bob Bradley at the helm in early January 2017.

But having kept in the Premier League last season, the former Chelsea and Bayern Munich coach leaves alongside coaches Nigel Gibbs and Karl Halabi.

“To change the manager, especially at only the halfwaay point of the season, is the last thing we wanted to do as a club,” said Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins.

“We had three managers last season and as a result we all wanted to give Paul as much time as possible to turn things around.”
