Celebrities should be mindful of how they are passing their messages, so as not to create wrong impressions – Charly Boy
He describes himself as an introvert, however, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa – popularly known as Charly Boy – is famous for his alternative lifestyle and political views.
During a recent live Instagram chat with 102.3 Max FM OAP – Mary Bashua-Alimi – Nigeria’s most controversial entertainer, confirmed that he is indeed an introvert, saying:
“I’m a big introvert, I go out only when it is necessary.”
Talking about the Covid-19 lockdown, ‘Area Fada’ advised the youth to always plan for their future, saying nobody planned for coronavirus yet it is currently affecting the country’s economy:
“I tell young people, you better start planning your lives, even if you fall into a bad patch or things don’t turn out the way you planned it, you will have something to fall back on until you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.”
When asked about his Instagram video, in which he was telling celebrities to humble themselves, Charly Boy explained:
“Young people are impressionable; we have to be careful about how we are putting out our messages. Celebrities should be mindful of how they are passing their messages across so as not to create wrong impressions. There is a lot of poverty and hunger in the land; it is unwise to be flaunting wealth in the face of serious poverty. If you are an authentic person you don’t need to announce yourself.”
