Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham recently took to her social media platform to clear the air about the rumor going around that she has been used to replace Funke Akindele as the new ambassador for the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). In her post, she revealed that she isn’t an ambassador to NCDC and stated that she will not like to drag her senior colleague down by taking advantage of a bad situation.
You may recall that Funke Akindele was formerly the face for the NCDC campaign against covid-19 in Nigeria before she was arrested and detained for hosting a private birthday party for her husband, JJCSkillz in their home.
“It has just being brought to my attention that blogs are reporting that I am now NCDC ambassador. Implying that I have been used to replace a senior colleague. That line of thought necessitate I put this out there. I am not an ambassador to NCDC. I do not like the narrative that I am trying to take advantage of a bad situation. Please I support the campaign against Covid-19, I appeared on a video campaign against the pandemic but please let’s not drag anyone down. Thank you.
