Sadio Mane has revealed Liverpool stars rush to their training ground at Melwood an hour earlier because they want to secure a spot in the gym.
The current African player of the year has been a key member of the Reds remarkable performance as they close in on their first title in over 30 years.
The Merseysiders have won 21 out of 22 league games this campaign and have now gone 13 points clear at the top.
Jurgen Klopp’s side will take on Wolves in a crunch week 23 match at the Molineux as they look to continue their unbeaten run on the domestic scene. Mane is expected to make Klopp’s starting XI.
“For sure, they [the club’s supporters] only see what we are doing on the pitch every single weekend and the success as well,” Mane told Liverpool’s website.
“But the work starts with yourself at home professionally and hard work on the training ground. “You can see, every single day from day one when I came to Liverpool, players want to improve more and want to get better and better. “You can see the gym one hour before training is completely full.
“I think that’s a very, very big sign for the club because everybody wants to play and everyone wants to be the best. I think that makes things special. “From the training ground, everything starts there and it’s just really important. It’s normal that fans are getting so excited to see the team playing well and being successful.
“That’s why we are working every single day.”
