One Management Denies Darkoo’s Sabotage Claims Against Mr. P: Sets the Record Straight

Written by on January 13, 2025

One Management, the representative agency for Peter Okoye (Mr. P), has strongly denied the accusations made by rising star Darkoo regarding sabotage. Last weekend, Darkoo claimed that Mr. P, a member of the defunct P-Square duo, attempted to sabotage her latest musical efforts, which sampled the hit song “Gimme Dat.”

In response, One Management issued a statement, signed by Ayo Oke, labeling Darkoo’s claims as both unfounded and malicious. The management firm emphasized that while they did not want to believe Darkoo and her team were intentionally sensationalizing a professional matter, it appeared she was trying to leverage the supposed P-Square feud for personal gain, popularity, and clout. “It is obvious she wants to capitalize on the supposed P-Square feud by maligning the one person who advised her on the right course of action from the beginning,” the statement read.

One Management further clarified that Mr. P’s involvement in the situation was in good faith. Contrary to Darkoo’s accusations, Mr. P’s primary goal was to ensure that all members of the defunct P-Square group were properly included in the project, rather than favoring one person. Additionally, the management firm refuted claims that Mr. P demanded a feature in the song’s remix. Instead, it was Darkoo who had reportedly pressured Mr. P to appear in the remix, seeking his favor. However, after going ahead to seek permission from an unauthorized entity, the project encountered legal complications.

After the project ran into difficulties, One Management explained that Darkoo and her team returned to Mr. P for assistance. Following this, necessary steps were taken to resolve the issues, and the matter was ultimately settled. The only modifications made in the agreement were related to the correct entity—SQUARE Records—and the inclusion of all stakeholders in the P-Square duo.

The statement concluded by clarifying that the initial 50% revenue split was requested by the individual Darkoo had approached, not by Mr. P himself. “To imply otherwise in her statements is malicious and a deliberate attempt to portray Mr. P in a negative light,” the management firm stated.
