Ice Prince Reveals Struggles: Lost University Admission Due to N20,000
Singer Ice Prince recently opened up about the challenges he faced growing up, revealing how the loss of his parents at a young age and financial struggles prevented him from attending university. In a candid interview on the Listen podcast, the rapper shared his personal story of hardship as an orphan.
Ice Prince explained that he lost his father when he was just 11 years old and his mother at the age of 21. Despite his difficulties, he worked various menial jobs to support himself through school. However, due to a lack of funds, he was unable to pay his school fees and often had to stay home for weeks.
“I didn’t go to university because of N20,000,” Ice Prince recalled. He explained that with only two weeks left to pay the fees, he was unable to raise the money in time and lost his university admission.
Reflecting on his tough journey, Ice Prince said, “I want people to look at my life and say if I can succeed, then no one has an excuse to fail.” Despite not having a support system, the rapper attributes his success to faith and determination, overcoming obstacles without any family support, such as uncles or godparents. His story serves as an inspiring testament to resilience in the face of adversity.
