Written by on October 31, 2024

American music star Bruno Mars has made headlines by setting a new record for the highest monthly listeners on Spotify. The Grammy-winning singer achieved an astounding 120,862,858 monthly listeners, officially surpassing the previous record held by fellow artist The Weeknd.

This milestone follows the release of Bruno’s recent single, “Die With A Smile,” featuring Lady Gaga, and his guest appearance on Rose’s song “APT.” These tracks are his first since collaborating with Anderson.Paak on the Grammy-winning project “An Evening With Silk Sonic,” which won Album of the Year in 2021.

Bruno Mars now leads the Spotify charts, surpassing The Weeknd’s record of 120 million monthly listeners.

The Weeknd was notable for being the first artist to reach 100 million monthly listeners, later surpassing that number himself. Following Bruno in the listener rankings are The Weeknd and Lady Gaga, showcasing the immense popularity of these artists in today’s music landscape.

This achievement underscores Bruno Mars’s status as one of the biggest global pop stars. His music has not only topped charts but has also sold millions of units, establishing him as one of the most commercially successful artists of the 21st century.

In addition to his impressive listener count, Bruno has amassed over 36 billion streams on Spotify.

Remarkably, he has 14 songs with over a billion streams, bringing him close to the record held by Justin Bieber and Drake.

Additionally, Bruno has won 15 Grammy Awards out of 31 nominations, making him one of the most awarded pop stars in Recording Academy history.

His ability to consistently produce chart-topping hits and connect with audiences worldwide cements his place as a music industry icon. As fans celebrate his achievements, it’s clear that Bruno Mars continues to shape the future of pop music.
