Popular activist Verydarkman has called out the controversial musician Portable for allegedly assaulting a man at the recent Felabration event in Lagos.
The event, held in memory of the music legend Fela Kuti, featured performances from Portable and other celebrities. Verydarkman claims that Portable took a man into a restroom at the event to assault him. According to the activist, the man used to be part of his record label. When they met at Felabration, Portable allegedly led him to a secluded restroom for the assault. Verydarkman has urged the man to reach out to him so he can take action regarding the incident.
In response, singer Portable blasted Verydarkman after the activist publicly accused him of the assault. He took to social media to react, threatening Verydarkman and using harsh language.
Portable emphasized that the activist should ask about him in Abuja, where he lives. In a video post, Portable captioned: “Who dey cripple-ye Awa Ọmọ who dey who dey? We go cripple you. Who dey come dey fear? Only God we fear. Say no to ripping and say no to online bullying.”
The situation highlights the ongoing tensions between the two figures, drawing attention to issues of accountability and behaviour within the entertainment industry.
