Nigerian singer Portable has announced the arrival of his second child with his fourth baby mama, Ashabi Simple. The couple welcomed a baby girl, adding to Portable’s growing family. This marks Portable’s seventh child and his third daughter.
On September 13, 2024, Portable shared the joyous news on Instagram. He celebrated the birth of their daughter and expressed his love and gratitude towards Ashabi Simple. In his post, he wrote:
“ZAzuu! With a heart full of joy, we welcome our third princess to the world. Thank you, GOD, for not shaming us. Alhamdulilahi ? Fans and followers flooded the comments with congratulatory messages and well-wishes. Some even added humour to the celebration
Portable and Ashabi Simple, whose real name is Akinyanju Omobolarinde, had previously celebrated the birth of their first child together on June 6, 2023.
At that time, during the christening ceremony, Portable proudly declared in Yoruba, “She is now a housewife.” Consequently, this recent arrival of their second child further expands their growing family.
In a separate story, a celestial pastor has publicly condemned Portable for his hostile behaviour towards a preacher in a viral video. The footage shows Portable raising his hands at a preacher who approached him at his bar.
The pastor reacted harshly, stating that Portable’s actions were irrational and offensive. He predicted that misfortune would befall the singer before the year ended, citing the insult to the preacher and Christianity. The pastor said:
“Something will befall Portable before the end of next year. Portable, how dare you give a pastor wotowoto? It seems the substances you take have affected your brain. All the alfas and babalawos you use, can you dare touch them? But you had the nerve to touch a pastor. Portable, if dem born your mama well, come to my street and touch any pastor, and you will know that werey pass werey.”
Not one to back down, Portable challenged the pastor’s curse. He took to the comment section, daring the pastor to reveal the address of his church for a face-off. Portable also reminded the clergyman that he, too, is a believer and a priest. He wrote:
“Make your papa drop location. Wait and let God call you before you call yourself a pastor. Me self I be original pastor come and gbegesi you go. I believe in God pass you.”
The singer’s response adds another layer to the ongoing drama, reflecting his defiance and confidence in the face of criticism.
