Frankie Beverly, the renowned American singer and producer, has passed away at 77. The cause of his death has not yet been revealed.

The news was announced on September 11, 2024, via a post on Beverly’s official Instagram and Maze’s social media pages. The family’s message read:

“During this deeply emotional time, we ask for privacy and understanding as we grieve the loss of our beloved Howard Stanley Beverly, known to many as Frankie Beverly. We appreciate your respect for our need for solitude while we honour his memory and navigate this period of healing.”

 

Frankie Beverly was celebrated for his influential work with the soul and funk band Maze, which he formed in Philadelphia in 1970. His music, especially hits like “We Are One,” left a lasting impact on the genre.
