Nigerian singer Dammy Krane has accused Davido of trying to frame him with false allegations. In posts on X (formerly Twitter) on August 21, 2023, Krane claimed Davido paid authorities to accuse him of involvement in a Flutterwave and cryptocurrency scam.
Krane warned that Davido should be held responsible if anything happens to him.
He alleged that Davido used the police to arrest him on false charges. “If anything happens to me, @davido should be held responsible,” Krane wrote. He added, “Davido paid them to arrest me and falsely claimed I’m involved in a scam.”
Krane drew a parallel between his situation and the case of late artist Mohbad, suggesting that justice should be sought before a tragedy occurs. “That’s what happened to Mohbad; he didn’t have to die for people to seek justice. Nigeria, please don’t fail me,” he urged.
Krane also claimed that Davido is involved in cryptocurrency scams and that the accusations against him are a distraction. “I’m being arrested and oppressed for seeking justice,” Krane said. “They are trying to set me up because they have nothing on me. Meanwhile, @davido is the one involved in crypto scams”
