‘We weren’t anything more than friends’ – Saskay slams Jaypaul who said she threw him under the bus

• Saskay insisted that as Jaypaul reached out to her outside the House, so did she reach out to Jaypaul as well, even though it’s clear now that Jaypaul expected something more than that.

Saskay, the ex-Shine Ya Eye star, confirmed during the Shine Ya Eye Reunion, Day 10, (episode 10) on Wednesday night, June 15 that when she came out of the Big Brother House, she wasn’t expecting anything more from her love interest, Jaypaul.

And responding to Jaypaul’s earlier statement, Saskay said that it’s true that Jaypaul said good things about her when he first came out of the Biggie’s House, but expecting her to do same thing doesn’t seem normal.

And besides, Saskay told the show host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that she said good things few times about Jaypaul, but it’s obvious he was expecting more than acknowledging him on interviews and all of that.

Saskay added that it was simply that she and Jaypaul weren’t anything more than friends, even though as Jaypaul said he always reached out to her, she as well most times, reached out to Jaypaul.

Ebuka said, “Just to clarify something, because I think his point was about acknowledging him”. Saskay said, “Acknowledging him in what?” Ebuka said, “Interviews, you talked about who’s Jaypaul”. Saskay said, “That was the question that was recurring in all my interviews”. And Ebuka asked, “What did you always say”? Saskay answered, “What about Jaypaul and Cross, and I say they’re both my friends. And nothing more than that.

“If he came and he praised me, and he said good things about me, that’s fine. And I appreciate him. But he doesn’t expect me to do the same because he did that.

Jaypaul said, “Can I ask you a question”? And Saskay said, “Go ahead”. Who always made effort to reach out”. Saskay said, “Wait, what are we talking about? Now are you complaining about who made effort or what? Of course you made effort to reach out when I first came out”.

Jaypaul continued, “Then, Do you agree you threw me under the bus”? Saskay replied, “Threw you under the bus how? Jaypaul we weren’t anything more than friends”. Jaypaul returned, “Of course we were friends. You were getting to the top right. Do you think, because the message you’re passing across is that on your way to the top, you throw all your solders away, when you get to the top, you’re alone. That’s the message your sending to every other person out there”.

Saskay responded, “I think the problem is that you probably expected something else when I came out of the House”. Jaypaul said, “I wasn’t expecting anything from you”. Saskay continued, “Then why would you say, I came out, and I was saying all these things about you, and ‘I expected you to say this, so that it will clear my name’. It’s all about the expectations.

Jaypaul retorted, “I kept trying to reach out every time. Have I not come to see you?” and Saskay returned the question, “Have I not come to see you”? And Jaypaul, looking surprised, asked, “When did you come to see me”? Saskay, turning to Sammie, said, “Tell him please, tell him when I came to see him”.

Jaypaul said, “It was Sammie’s friend you came to see. You weren’t coming to see me”. Saskay repeated, “Was I coming to see Sammie’s friend or was I coming to see you”? Jaypaul said, “But are you saying that I never made effort”? Saskay replied, “Who said that”? Jaypaul continued, “Are you saying here that my friendship with you didn’t mean anything”?

At that point, Saskay told Ebuka that she’s not going on with the conversation.
