Alternative Afro-pop singer, Adekunle Gold gave a brilliant performance at his sold out #About30 concert held at London’s Indigo at the O2 on the 29th of June 2018.

The singer took to his Instagram page to share his excitement. He wrote:

“Last year, we sold out 800 capacity (O2 Academy Islington). Today, AG is doing about 4x what he did last year. This is growth, this is love. It’s astounding and without a doubt, I am the happiest man in the world tonight. I had a dream you know; a big, scary and daring dream; Now, it’s about to come true. Thank you…. I also realize my thanks are truly not enough so I can’t wait to give you an incredible show tonight. You deserve it – and it’ll be my utmost pleasure. #About30Concert #IndigoO2 ? @michaeltubescreations”

The show saw the ‘Ire‘ crooner perform with his 79th Element band in a brilliant display of African costumes and dances that thrilled fans and music lovers as they were treated to live renditions of tracks from his sophomore album, About 30 which was released in May 2018.

The concert was hosted by Adesope, and featured performances from Falana, Tolani, Harry Marshall, Bimbi Philips, Juls, and Yung Milli.

The first highlight of the event came when the ‘Orente‘ crooner sat on a throne, in a brilliant gold apparel, flanked by bodyguards while his sister gave the ‘oriki’ in Yoruba alongside a brilliant talking drummer.

The second was when Simi surprisingly appeared on stage to perform “No Forget” with Adekunle Gold on stage. They not only sang their hearts out, they cuddled, with their PDA game fully on, spurring wild cheers from their fans.

The crowd who were mesmerized by his performance took to Instagram and Twitter to shower praises on the Afro-pop singer and crown him one of the best live performers around.
