ALEC BALDWIN ACCIDENTALLY SHOOTS WOMAN DEAD ON SET OF A MOVIE

American actor Alec Baldwin has accidentally shot a woman crew member dead and injured another with a prop firearm on the set of their New Mexico film ‘Rust’.

According to reports, the deceased has been identified as the director of photography Halyna Hutchins. She was transported to the hospital via helicopter and pronounced dead by medical personnel at the University of New Mexico Hospital.

The second victim who was injured in the accident is 48-year-old director Joel Souza, he was however transported to a medical centre by ambulance for care, and details on his condition are yet to be made public.

Alec Baldwin has since been interviewed by the investigators, but he has been released as no charges have been filed so far.

According to investigators, it appears that the scene being filmed involved the use of a prop firearm when it was discharged, now detectives are investigating how and what type of projectile was discharged.

Rust is a western movie set in the 1880s which was written and directed by Joel, while Alec Baldwin is co-producer as well as the lead star, the movie also stars Travis Fimmel, Brady Noon, Frances Fisher and Jensen Ackles.

The movie follows Alec’s character, the infamous outlaw Rust whose 13-year-old grandson is found guilty of accidental murder.
