American billionaire and rap artiste, Kanye West has officially changed his name.
Formerly known as Kanye he is now officially “Ye,” as confirmed by the court in LA.
Kanye filed a petition on August 24, 2021, citing “personal reasons” for a change of name with no further explanation.
“I believe ‘ye’ is the most commonly used word in the Bible, and in the Bible it means you. So it’s I’m you, I’m us, it’s us,” he explained some time ago in an interview.
“It went from being Kanye, which means the only one, to just Ye being a reflection of our good, our bad, our confused, our everything.”
Having his petition approved, he now goes by the name ‘Ye.’
