JAY-Z’s Roc Nation Launches School of Music, Sports, and Entertainment

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation team has partnered with Long Island University to establish the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment.
Based in the rapper’s hometown of Brooklyn, the partnership will provide undergraduate students with opportunities to work in the music, sports, and entertainment industries. The program offers degrees in music, music technology, entrepreneurship & production, as well as sports management, per UPROXX.
Enrollment for the new school will begin with the fall 2021 semester, and 25% of the incoming freshmen class will receive Roc Nation Hope Scholarships, sfgate.com reports. Hope Scholars will graduate debt-free.
Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez called the new partnership with LIU “a true investment in our community and young people in Brooklyn, in New York City, and beyond.”
