Bukola Saraki Congratulates Son Seni on Winning His First Grammy Award
Former Nigerian Senate President Bukola Saraki has proudly congratulated his son, Seni Saraki, after he won his first Grammy Award. Seni earned the prestigious award for his contribution to the Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack, which took home the Best Reggae Album honor at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
Expressing his pride and joy, Bukola Saraki took to social media platform X to congratulate his son. “Congratulations, Seni, on winning your first Grammy last night for your work on the Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack, which took home the award for Best Reggae Album! Seeing you pour your heart into your passion and having it recognized on the global stage is an indescribable joy. Well done! We are super proud of you!” he shared.
Seni Saraki also expressed his gratitude, thanking the talented artists and producers who contributed to the project, including Nigerian musicians Wizkid and Bloody Civilian. He acknowledged their bravery in reinterpreting Bob Marley’s iconic songs, bringing a unique and fresh perspective to the legendary reggae tracks.
This Grammy win is not Seni’s first major industry recognition. In 2023, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack, for which he worked as a music consultant, earned four Grammy nominations, further solidifying his growing influence in the global music industry.
As the CEO of The Native, a Lagos-based music magazine, Seni continues to champion African sounds and culture. The Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack is part of a biographical film that explores the life of the legendary reggae icon, highlighting his revolutionary music that has inspired generations around the world.
