Popular Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, recently revealed how Wizkid boosted his music career during a vulnerable time. In a candid interview, Odumodublvck explained how his senior colleague’s support changed his life, even while he was bedridden.

The rapper also addressed his relationship with Davido, revealing how both artists have significantly impacted his career.

Odumodublvck reflected on a moment that changed everything for him. Odumodublvck was in a hospital bed in Abuja, recovering from a serious illness, when he saw that Wizkid had posted his song ‘Declan Rice.‘ This simple act of support profoundly impacted his career and his family’s future. Although he didn’t make it onto Wizkid’s ‘Morayo” album, which caused some fan backlash, Odumodublvck emphasized his gratitude and loyalty to Wizkid. He insisted he would never ‘bite the hand that feeds him.’

‘I was on my sick bed in Abuja, I almost lost my life,’ Odumodublvck said emotionally. ‘Only to wake up and see that Wizkid posted ‘Declan Rice’. It was the beginning of something new for me and my family. I can’t put into words how I felt.’

In addressing the ongoing comparisons between him and other artists, particularly with Davido, Odumodublvck made it clear that Davido has played a significant role in his life. ‘I’ve lost count of how many favours he has done for me and my family,’ Odumodublvck said. ‘He is still doing more than I can even explain.’

With strong conviction, Odumodublvck firmly stated, ‘You people will not succeed’ in trying to pit him against his colleagues. His message was clear: he remains grateful to both Wizkid and Davido for their unwavering support.
