Written by on November 21, 2024

Nigerian music icon Ayodeji Balogun Ibrahim, widely known as Wizkid, has officially revealed the tracklist for his much-anticipated sixth studio album, Morayo. The album, set for release on November 22, 2024, has already generated massive buzz, especially after the release of two singles that have set the stage for what’s to come.

A deeply personal project, Morayo serves as a tribute to Wizkid’s late mother, who passed away in 2023. The album’s title, Morayo, not only honors his mother’s name but also reflects the emotional journey Wizkid has been navigating since her passing. Moreover, this album marks a significant departure from his 2022 project, More Love, Less Ego, as it offers fans a more intimate and reflective side of the Starboy Entertainment frontman.

The album will feature a rich blend of Afrobeat, R&B, and global sounds, with a total of 16 tracks. To build anticipation, Wizkid has already dropped two singles: Piece of My Heart, a soulful collaboration with American R&B sensation Brent Faiyaz, and Kese (Dance), a vibrant party anthem that has already become a fan favourite.
