Nigerian content creator Jarvis, known for her lifelike Artificial Intelligence skits, has successfully undergone surgery to remove a tumour from her jaw. The news comes three weeks after she first disclosed the health issue to her followers. The operation, which Jarvis had been preparing for, was a major step toward her recovery.
Her boyfriend, fellow content creator Peller, shared the update on November 17, 2024, via his Instagram. He posted a heartfelt message alongside a mirror selfie taken at the hospital. In the picture, Jarvis wears a hospital gown with a bandage around her jawline and band-aids on the back of her wrists. Peller expressed his gratitude with the caption: ‘Thank you, God, for the successful surgery. My baby is now getting better ?? God, you are the greatest ?♂️?❤️’
Fans and fellow content creators greeted the news with an outpouring of support. Many took to the comments to send prayers and well wishes for her swift recovery. Crase Clown, a fellow creator, wrote, ‘Love to see it ?❤️,’ showing his excitement and relief.
Jarvis first opened up about the tumour in October 2024, responding to rumours that her recent content hiatus was due to her relationship with Peller. During a TikTok livestream, she revealed that what she had initially thought was a simple teeth issue turned out to be a tumour in her jaw. She explained that the diagnosis had come as a shock, as she had never suspected something so serious. Moreover, she shared how the tumour had started affecting her daily life, adding more context to her decision to step away from content creation. She even showed her followers the visible bump that had caused one side of her face to swell. ‘I thought it was just teeth problems,’ she explained. However, the doctor later told her it was a tumour in her jawline. Additionally, she addressed critics who had speculated about her absence from AI videos.
In the same livestream, Jarvis humorously addressed the criticism of her appearance. She said, “You people don’t see that in my past AI videos, my face was fresh. This new AI would have puff-puff, so I don’t know how you want me to do it!” Later, she turned to Instagram to ask her Nigerian followers for hospital recommendations. She wanted the best care for her surgery. Now that the surgery is behind her, Jarvis is on the road to recovery. Fans are eager to see her back in action.
