Nigerian music icon D’banj, whose real name is Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, has officially launched his football club, Koko FC. This announcement comes just days after Don Jazzy introduced his team, Supremos Football Club.
Koko FC will compete for an impressive N50 million prize, which is the largest per-game prize in the Nigerian football league. To discover talented players, D’banj is inviting aspiring footballers to upload one-minute videos showcasing their skills on The Cream platform. Each week, the most voted players will get the chance to participate in a physical game to finalize the team.
“Upload a 1-minute video of your skills on the pitch… The top-voted players will come together for a game to select the team!” D’banj stated on X.
The launch of Koko FC has generated excitement among Nigerian football fans, signalling D’banj’s new venture into the sports industry.
