Femi Falana, a renowned human rights lawyer, swiftly responded to allegations made by VeryDarkMan regarding his involvement with Bobrisky, a popular social media personality. Falana firmly denied any connection to Bobrisky or the alleged bribery of prison officials.
Recently, a trending social media voice conversation sparked controversy, suggesting Bobrisky paid N15 million to the EFCC to drop money laundering charges. The conversation also claimed Bobrisky served his six-month prison sentence in a VIP facility instead of a correctional facility. Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, addressed these allegations on Channels TV’s Politics Today program.
Falana emphasized that Bobrisky never spoke to him, and he doesn’t know him personally. He dismissed the claims as “infantile radicalism,” stating that some young people are not prepared to understand defamation laws. Falana also denied seeking a presidential pardon for Bobrisky in exchange for N10 million.
The allegations against Falana and his son, Falz, are linked to Bobrisky’s reported prison sentence. However, Falana maintains his innocence, citing no prior interactions with Bobrisky. The controversy surrounds the Nigerian Correctional Service and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
