American singer Chris Brown has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Nigerian superstar Wizkid for inviting him to perform at the O2 Arena in 2021.
The concert marked Brown’s first show in the UK in over ten years.
In a video shared by Luthortv, Brown referred to Wizkid as his “brother for life” and spoke about the generous gesture that had a lasting impact on him.
“Wizkid invited me to my biggest stage in the UK in ten years. I had been performing all over America but couldn’t go there for a show,” Brown shared.
He revealed that Wizkid invited him to the concert and took care of his expenses. “One day, Wiz called and told me he was preparing everything for my attendance at his O2 Arena concert. He paid for everything, and I was blown away. Wizkid is my brother for life,” Brown said emotionally.
Brown hadn’t performed in the UK since 2009 due to a ban following his guilty plea for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna.
The 2021 concert marked a significant milestone in his career, finally ending his long performance drought in the UK.
Chris Brown’s ongoing gratitude shows how much Wizkid’s support has impacted his career. It also highlights their strong friendship, built on mutual respect and a shared love for music.
