Jackson Family Mourns the Loss of Tito Jackson at Age 70

Tito Jackson, the celebrated musician and founding member of the Jackson 5, has died at the age of 70. The announcement came from his children on Sunday, September 16, 2024, leaving both fans and family in deep sorrow.
While initial reports suggest a heart attack as the likely cause of death, the Jackson family has not officially confirmed this. Tito’s three children—Taj, Taryll, and TJ—carry on his musical legacy with their group, 3T. He also leaves behind his grandchildren. Tito’s ex-wife, Delores Martes, passed away in 1994.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, his children shared their grief: “We are deeply saddened to announce that our father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson, has passed away.” We are in shock and heartbroken. Our father was a remarkable man who deeply cared about others.”
Tito’s death is a sombre moment for the music world, following the earlier losses of his brother Michael in 2009 and their father Joe Jackson in 2018.
