Adunni Ade, known for her roles in Yoruba films such as Netflix’s ‘Tokunbo’ and ‘Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti’, discussed her journey in an interview with Hiptv.

Starting her career in modelling, Adunni Ade later transitioned into comedy skits while living in the U.S. Filmmaker Said Balogun discovered her, leading to her first roles in Nigeria. In 2012, she relocated to Nigeria to fully dedicate herself to acting.

Ade acknowledged the challenges of working in the entertainment industry but remains grateful for the opportunities she has had. She believes Nollywood is evolving and hopes it continues to gain recognition.

Addressing her career challenges, Ade expressed frustration with being typecast. She hopes producers and directors will consider her for a wider range of roles, showcasing her versatility.
