Beyoncé, famous for her privacy, recently spoke about the challenges of staying private in today’s digital age. In an interview with GQ Magazine for their October cover, she discussed balancing public life with personal peace.
While talking about her new whiskey line and other ventures, she also addressed the struggle of maintaining privacy.
She pointed out how different things are now compared to the past. Back in the day, she and her husband used call cards and Skype to stay in touch, while now, we have instant video calls and endless information at our fingertips.
Beyoncé noted how today’s access to information can be overwhelming, saying, “We live in a world of access.” She reflected on how easy it is for misinformation to spread.
Sharing a recent experience where an AI-generated song that sounded like she left her feeling uneasy. “It’s impossible to truly know what’s real and what’s not,” she admitted.
The singer emphasized her commitment to keeping her personal life private, especially for the sake of her children.
She explained, “One thing I’ve worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normalcy and privacy as possible.
It’s very easy for celebrities to turn our lives into performance art. I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family.”
For Beyoncé, maintaining her peace of mind is paramount. As she put it, “No amount of money is worth my peace.”
