Omoni Oboli’s Last Year Single Debuts on Netflix This September

Nollywood star Omoni Oboli plans to make a splash on Netflix with her debut series, Last Year Single. She produced the romantic drama in 2020, which would premiere on the streaming platform on September 6, 2024.
Omoni Oboli began her career with Bitter Encounter in 1996. In 2010, she won Best Actress in a Narrative Feature at the Los Angeles Movie Awards and Best Actress at the Harlem International Film Festival
She was also nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2011 Africa Movie Academy Awards. Oboli has starred in notable films like Moms At War and will soon release The Uprising: Wives on Strike 3 next month.
She also announced that Last Year Single will premiere on Netflix on Friday, September 6, 2024. Oboli excitedly stated, “The only thing we are all doing on Friday is grabbing our movie snacks and sitting in front of our TV on Netflix.
Production of the series started in 2020 but experienced delays because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite these setbacks, the show is ready to entertain with its engaging storyline.
Last Year Single was written by Joy Bewaji and produced by Tomi Adeoye. The series follows three single women in their 30s dealing with love and financial challenges.
The cast features Bimbo Ademoye, Toni Tones, Abishola Segun Williams, Mawuli Gavor, Kachi Nnochiri, Uzoma Osimkpa, Taye Arimoro, Kabiri Fubara, Chy Nwakama and others. Mark your calendars and get ready for a binge-worthy experience this September!
