Nigerian singer Korede Bello has opened up about why he left Mavins Records, where he was signed from 2014 to 2021.
In an interview with Hip TV, Bello said he expressed that it was time to rethink his personal growth and career direction, which led him to leave the label.
He shared that he started feeling like he was just a product meant to make money, rather than an artist with a real purpose. “I felt like I was just there to make money… Chasing hits made me forget what matters,” he said.
Bello also talked about the need for self-reflection and understanding his true self. He explained, “I needed to grow, discover my true value, and reconnect with my real purpose.”
Leaving Mavins Records marks a big change in his career as he looks for more meaning and authenticity in his music.
