Tyrese Gibson, Scott Eastwood, and producer Snoop Dogg hit the red carpet for the premiere of the drama “1992” in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The film tells the story of a shopkeeper who must protect his son from an angry mob during the 1992 Los Angeles riots sparked by the Rodney King verdict. “1992” opens in theaters on August 30.

Tyrese Gibson, known for his role in the “Fast & Furious” series, was visibly moved when his “Fast X” co-stars Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez made a surprise appearance at the premiere. Gibson took to social media, sharing photos of the surprise and expressing his heartfelt gratitude.

“I was an emotional wreck,” Gibson wrote. “I’m deeply touched that Vin and Michelle showed up for me. I don’t expect anyone to drop everything for me, so their support meant the world.”

He noted that, despite his independence, he values his relationships and is overwhelmed by their presence.

Gibson also shared how he usually tries to handle things on his own and doesn’t ask for help. Seeing Diesel and Rodriguez at the premiere of his new movie made him feel incredibly grateful.

“It filled my heart to see these giants supporting my little film,” he said. “I’m humbled and beyond thankful to Vin, Michelle, Snoop Dogg, and everyone who came out.”

“1992” stars Gibson, Eastwood, and the late Ray Liotta, who filmed his scenes before passing away in May 2022. With Snoop Dogg as the executive producer, the film explores the impact of the 1992 riots on two families.
