Adele Reveals Long Break from Performing After Las Vegas Shows

Adele has announced that she’s taking a significant break from performing after wrapping up her Las Vegas residency. The singer announced that after ten more Las Vegas shows, she will take a long break from performing.

During her final Munich residency show, Adele told fans, “I have ten more shows in Las Vegas, but after that, I won’t see you for a long time.” She added, “I will hold you dear in my heart during my break.”

Adele’s recent tour has spanned three years, which she called “the longest I’ve ever done and probably will ever do.”

This followed her “Weekends with Adele” residency in Las Vegas, which started in November 2022 and included over 100 shows.

In April, Adele had to postpone some Vegas dates due to illness, but she’s now looking forward to a break. “I just need a rest,” she told the audience at the Adele Arena in Munich.

Her voice trembling, she said, “I’ve spent the last seven years building a new life and now I want to live it.”. I will remember these shows for eternity because they have been spectacular.”

In July, Adele hinted at taking a break, with no plans for new music and a desire to explore other creative projects. In August, she confirmed her engagement to Rich Paul and called him “my husband” at a recent Vegas show.

Adele is also dealing with sciatic nerve pain, which may be influencing her decision to step back from performing. “I truly have no idea when I will ever do anything like this again,” she told her Munich audience.

Adele’s album release timeline has been growing longer over the years. Fans waited three years between “19” and “21,” four years for “25,” and six years for “30.” If this pattern continues, it might be six years before Adele’s next album arrives.

As Adele closed her Munich show with hits like “Someone Like You,” she told fans, “This is my final moment with you now.” Thank you so much for coming to my show and for supporting me throughout the years.”
