The Headies Awards, Nigeria’s prestigious music award show, has officially opened entries for its 2024 edition, marking its 17th year.
The Headies, known for honouring exceptional achievements in Nigerian music, invites artists, producers, video directors, and other professionals to submit their work.
For the 17th edition, eligible submissions include musical content released between April 1, 2023, and July 31, 2024. This window ensures that only recent works will be considered for nominations.
Categories for this year’s Headies include Next Rated, Rookie of the Year, Recording of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year.
On Monday, August 26, 2024, Headies announced via social media that they accept submissions through their official website. The deadline for entries is Friday, September 20, 2024.
Since 2006, Hip Hop World Magazine has launched the Headies Awards, which celebrate established and emerging Nigerian talent. Past winners and nominees include major stars such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, and Rema.
