Rick Ross, the American rapper and record executive known for his influence on hip-hop, faces a lawsuit over a recent event he hosted.

The lawsuit alleges he broke federal disability laws during his Third Annual Rick Ross Car & Bike Show, held in June at his Fayetteville estate, “The Promise Land.”

Thousands of fans flocked to the show to admire the cars and enjoy live performances. However, Darris Straughter, one of the attendees, did not have the same experience and is now suing Rick Ross. Straughter claims the event organizers promised to provide a wheelchair-accessible shuttle to pick him up from the parking lot, but it never arrived. He said he sold his car to cover the cost of the ticket, travel, and lodging for the show.

Despite contacting the organizers weeks in advance to request accommodations for his wheelchair, Straughter waited for hours without getting in. He added that the organizers promised a refund, which he still hasn’t received.

Straughter is now taking legal action for damages, citing a breach of contract and violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Rick Ross has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
