Gospel Music Industry Mourns the Loss of Rising Star Aduke Gold

The gospel music world mourns the loss of Aduke Ajayi, also known as Aduke Gold, who has sadly passed away. Fellow gospel artist Esther Igbeke shared the sad news on social media. She posted a tribute with Aduke Gold’s photo and wrote: “A general has fallen. RIP.”
Aduke Gold’s passing follows the recent death of another notable gospel singer, Egbin Orun, who died on April 28, 2024. Esther Igbekele confirmed Orun’s death on Instagram. Aduke Gold made a significant impact in the gospel music scene despite the fierce competition. Her soul-lifting songs and deep passion earned her a growing fanbase and widespread popularity. Her hit single, “Nitori 0go” (which means ‘Because of Glory’), from her eight-track album, went viral on social media
In an Instagram post, Aduke Gold shared her inspiring journey and the struggles she faced. She recounted her early days of selling slippers, yam, and fried fish, and how she managed hardships.
Aduke shared her experience of packing fish heads at a frozen foods store and learning to cook with firewood when kerosene was scarce. She also shared her challenges, including losing her parents at age four and battling severe vertigo.
Alongside her musical achievements, Aduke pursued impressive academic goals. Aduke Gold earned a degree in History and International Relations from Lagos State University, thanks to a scholarship provided by Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele, the former Lagos State Commissioner for Youths and Sports.
Additionally, Aduke Gold obtained a higher degree in Child Psychology, a Diploma in Montessori Education from the UK, and various qualifications in Special Education, Aquaculture, Cake Making, and more.
Aduke Gold dedicated herself to working with children with special needs, including those with autism, cerebral palsy, and dyslexia. Her passion for both music and helping others made her a beloved figure in her community.
The gospel music industry and her fans will deeply miss Aduke Gold’s presence and contributions.
