Nigerian singer BNXN has raised concerns about the high costs and poor safety standards of boat rides in Lagos. In a recent interview, BNXN shared his frustrations with what he views as exploitation in the local boat ride industry.

BNXN revealed that artists are often charged ₦350,000 for a 21-seater boat, which cannot safely accommodate 21 people.

He expressed his disbelief, saying, “They’ll charge us ₦350,000 for a boat that’s not fit for 21 people. It’s dangerous, and they might charge even more depending on the boat.”

He also criticized the safety standards of some boats, noting that while some people pay high fees, others use less reliable options, including boats without life jackets.

“Some people pay as little as ₦200 or ₦500 and get speedboats with no life jackets. It’s shocking and concerning; we’re being scammed in Lagos,” BNXN explained.

In the same interview, BNXN spoke about Burna Boy’s influence on his career. He shared that he first discovered Burna Boy in 2013/14 and was impressed by his unique style.
