He explained that ‘Son of Chike’ was his way of celebrating his Igbo heritage through music, aiming to authentically represent his culture.

“With everything I do, I prioritize the music. It’s not about numbers, even though the temptation is there. Everyone wants numbers, but for me, it always comes back to the music,” Chike emphasized.

The album ‘Son of Chike’ was introduced by the hit single ‘Egwu’, featuring the late Mohbad. Reflecting on Mohbad’s passing, Chike spoke about the importance of seizing the moment and making the most of one’s time.

“When you experience loss, it reminds you of life’s unpredictability. It pushed me to take action on things I’d been putting off, using my savings to help others and pursue my dreams without delay,” he shared.
