Street OT’: Sound Sultan’s Latest Single Released in Tribute, Three Years After His Death

On May 12, 2021, reports disclosed that Olanrewaju Fasasi, known as Sound Sultan, underwent chemotherapy in the USA after doctors diagnosed him with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
Sadly, he passed away on July 11, 2021, at 44 due to complications from the illness, as confirmed by his family in a statement.
Despite his passing, Sound Sultan’s management recently unveiled a new single titled ‘Street OT.’ This release, featuring rapper Ice Prince and emerging sensation DJ ShabzyAce, comes three years after his death, underscoring his enduring legacy.
Additionally, reports mention that Spyro, known for ‘Who Is Your Guy,’ collaborated with Sound Sultan on ‘Money Race,’ released in 2023.
Sound Sultan also surprised his fans with posthumous releases, including the 5-track EP ‘Reality Chq,’ which commemorated the first anniversary of his passing in 2022.
These gestures continue to celebrate his impactful presence in the music industry.
