Mavin Records boss Michael Collins Ajereh better known as Don Jazzy has taken to social media to react after Wizkid refers to him as an influencer after 20 years in the industry.

It all started after Mavin Records signee Ladipoe mocked Wizkid for his controversial “hip hop is dead” statement.

According to him, Afrobeats artists are going through struggles at the moment while the rap music genre has overcome the storm.

Ladipoe wrote; “Nigerian rappers that survived ‘hip hop is dead’ watching Afrobeat artists go through their own.”

Reacting a fan called on Wizkid attention to the Ladipoe comment about Aforbeats, telling Wizkid to give a savage response.

The fan identified as @miracledc12 wrote; “Wizkid, Ladipoe still talk nonsense yesterday o, abeg enter that one too.”

Wizkid said, he can’t have a conversation with someone like Ladipoe who is signed under an influencer.

Wizkid also reposted some tweets throwing shades at Don Jazzy and Ladipoe together. See below;

Wizkid’s recent statement seemed to ignite some friction with Don Jazzy, a renowned music producer and vocalist celebrated for his multifaceted talents.

Apart from his impressive musical skills, Don Jazzy is also widely acknowledged for his philanthropic efforts, which range from generous giveaways to nurturing emerging talents and advancing the careers of aspiring artists through signings and promotional activities.

Don Jazzy, with his keen eye for influence and respect within the industry, found Wizkid’s remark to be lacking in respect.

Consequently, he took the step of unfollowing the singer on Instagram, signaling his disapproval of the statement. This move underscores Don Jazzy’s commitment to upholding a certain standard of conduct within the music community, where mutual respect and professionalism are highly valued.
