Burna Boy, Tems and Pheelz make it to the Barack Obama’s 2022 Summer Playlist

Tems, Burna Boy, BNXN, and Pheelz, four prominent Nigerian Afrobeats musicians, are included in Barack Obama’s summer playlist.

Former US President Barack Obama has consistently posted a summer playlist of the songs he’s listening to every year since 2015.

Tems’ “Vibe Out,” which was published in 2021, Pheelz’s “Finesse,” Burna Boy’s “Last Last,” and Barack Obama’s summer playlist for the year are all included.

Barack Obama listed the many types of songs he has been listening to this summer in a post on Twitter. The list sparked a lot of reactions from people all across the world, but especially from Nigerians who discovered their own personal favorites there. He stated:

“Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together.

Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?”

BXZN was a featured artist on Pheelz’s song Finesse, which was released in the first quarter  of this year, March 2022. In a similar line, Tems’ song Vibe Out was released in 2021, while Burnaboy’s song Last Last was published on May 13 2022 .

Nigerians are thrilled to learn from the play list that the former US president, despite his busy schedule, still finds time to listen to music, especially Nigerian songs, and wonder if he genuinely comprehends them.
