BIG WINNERS AT THE OSCARS 2022

The Academy Awards returned for the 94th edition as the top films from the last year were honoured by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The event which was hosted for the very first time in four years, was handled by three comperes, Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes.
The biggest winner of the night was the movie ‘Dune’ which won six awards in the cinematography, editing, score, visual effects, production design and sound categories.
Will Smith finally bagged his first Oscar in the Best Actor category for his role in the biopic ‘King Richard’ , while Jessica Chastain won the Best Actress for her role in ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’.
Best-supporting actress Ariana DeBose received the award for her outstanding role in “West Side Story,’ Troy Kotsur won best supporting actor in ‘CODA,’ which made him the first deaf man to win an acting Oscar.
The Best Animated Feature Film went to ‘Encanto,’ Best Director went to Jane Campion for ‘The Power of the Dog, while the Best picture category went to CODA.
