‘Have More Drinks On My Behalf’ Says Burna Boy As He Celebrates First NME Award

Nigerian Afro-fusion singer Burna Boy wins Best Solo Act In The World at the BandLab NME Awards 2022 which was held on Wednesday 2nd March, 2022 at O2 Academy Brixton, London.
Award which was presented was presented virtually was done by Aitch and Big Zuu while trophy acknowledge by Burna Boy who sent his apologies for missing the event
While giving his acknowledgement speech, Burna told the people who were present at the event to drink on his behalf in happiness to the award he just received. His words below:
“Thank you guys very much for this award, it’s my first NME unfortunately, i couldn’t be there to celebrate with you guys, and i know how lit the NMES are. You guys are probably over there drinking and turning up like crazy and i’m here sat on this couch. But yeah, please turn up for ma and have more drinks on my behalf. Thank you NME and I appreciate everyone involved in this”

Burna boy also won the The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards in the category of Best Global Music Album with his “Twice as Tall” album.
