In Nigeria the music industry seems to be dominated by men hence this segment to celebrate first our very own women in music and also extend it to the world at large. Max FM will be commending women using the hash tag #WCW every Wednesday of the week

Simisola Bolatito Kosoko better known by her stage name ‘SIMI’, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, sound engineer and actress.
Simi started her career as a gospel singer in her church choir. She gained prominence in 2014 with the release of her song “Tiff”, that got her the Headies nomination for Best Alternative Song in 2015.
Simi is married to her best friend and lover Adekunle Gold and both of them are blessed with a beautiful daughter Adejare.
Still relevant in the music space she released her latest album on her birthday 19th April 2021 she said during an interview with google on frequently asked questions about Simi. Simi is currently one of the judges for the ongoing Nigeria Idol season seven.
All these and more are the reasons why we are crushing on Simi.
