Former Big Brother Naija housemate Pere, in an interview, explained why he joined the US military.
During an exclusive interview recently, the reality Tv star explained why he joined the American military instead of Nigeria’s army. According to Pere, he left Nigeria for America at the age of 24 on a visit but eventually ended up staying.
He said that he discovered that the benefits of joining the US military was great and that encouraged him to take up the opportunity.
He said: “I was born in Nigeria. I left Nigeria when I was 24 and when I left, I didn’t leave to go join the military in America. I left to go visit. From visiting, I ended up staying and while I was there, it wasn’t as if the military was why I left. The opportunity came in for me to join and the benefits were great, so I was like why not. Being the adventurous guy that I am, I decided to take hold of the opportunity and decided to do it. It wasn’t a passion of mine to join any military in the first place, so I had no idea about anything military from here or there”
Pere stated that if the opportunity had also come for him to join the Nigerian Army, he would have signed up. In his words: “Now, if an opportunity had come for me to join the Nigerian military while I was here, I will do it.”
