Police are now investigating racist abuse reported by Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara during his team’s Europa League defeat by Slavia Prague last Thursday, March 18.

Footage from the game showed Kudela covering his mouth before saying something to Kamara, who immediately reacted with fury.

Kamara said he was the victim of ‘vile, racist abuse’ by Slavia player Ondrej Kudela during the Europa game at Ibrox, with the Rangers midfielder accusing his opponent of calling him a ‘f****** monkey’.
The game which saw the Gers reduced to nine men was marred by a bust-up between both sides after Kamara claimed he was racially abused by the Czech center-back.

Slavia officials have defended Kudela, claiming he was ‘cowardly beaten with fists in the face by Kamara’ in the tunnel after the full-time whistle, with the player himself denying any racist abuse
and insisting he told the player he was ‘a f***ing guy.

A police statement read: ‘We can confirm we are investigating incidents of alleged racial abuse and a reported assault following the match between Rangers and Slavia
Prague at Ibrox on Thursday, 18 March 2021.

‘Officers are liaising with both clubs and enquiries are continuing.’Slavia alleged Kamara assaulted Kudela after the game, which saw the Czech league leaders win 2-0 to set up a quarter-final against Arsenal.
They filed a criminal complaint through the Czech Embassy and stated they were in direct contact with police in Glasgow.
