Top Nigerian music business mogul and owner of Mavin Records, Don Jazzy, recently used his social media platform to share an important piece of advice with new acts in the entertainment industry.
Jazzy shared a screenshot of a conversation that had taken place in his direct messaging channel. In the screenshot, an unidentified individual had asked the producer to sign him to his label, adding that he would not expect anything in return if given the chance.
Responding, the mavin boss Jazzy made it clear that he does not have any vacancy at the moment in his label. He, however, asked the individual not to send the same kind of message to other record labels, as many may take advantage of his desperation.
Sharing the post on Twitter, the record label boss reemphasized his advice to the individual that sent a message to his DM, Check out his post below:
Times are hard. It gets frustrating I know that. I wish I could sign everybody but I can’t. But pls don’t give up and most importantly don’t be forced to send this sort of messages guys pls. Keep working and your time will come. ?? pic.twitter.com/w9tR67YR9C
