Jussie Smollet of ‘EMPIRE’ hospitalized after being beaten and attacked with chemical substance

American actor and singer, Jussie Smollet, who starred in the hit series Empire, has been hospitalized after he was beaten by two men.
A policeman Anthony Guglielmi report stated that the actor was attacked with chemical substance by the men who put a noose around his neck.
The two men also chanted racial and homophobic slurs at Jussie Smollet and shouted “this is MAGA country”.
“Maga” stands for “Make America Great Again”, which was Donald Trump’s election campaign slogan in 2016.
According to the Chicago Police department, Jussie, was reportedly attacked while walking downtown about 2am on Tuesday.
Fox have issued a statement in which they expressed sadness at the attack on the member of the cast of their show.
“We are deeply saddened and outraged to learn that a member of our EMPIRE family, Jussie Smollett, was viciously attacked last night. We send our love to Jussie, who is resilient and strong, and we will work with law enforcement to bring these perpetrators to justice. The entire studio, network and production stands united in the face of any despicable act of violence and hate — and especially against one of our own.”
Jussie Smollet is currently recovering at a hospital were he was taken to after the attack.
