Written by on January 23, 2019

The prolonged public disagreement between Blackface and 2face looks like something that would make the headlines for a long time to come. Blackface keeps calling 2baba out and the latter successfully maintained his silence all these while.

However, yesterday 23rd January 2019, 2face finally gave a public comment on the rift between himself and former Plantashun Boyz music band member, Blackface in an interview with the hosts of Wetindey, a show on MaxFm. 2face was quoted to have said:

“Na only black fit explain the problem wey him get with me, to be honest with you I don tire”

This reply from 2face came a few weeks after Blackface’s interview on TVC’s Entertainment Splash where he spat more fire, and declared war if his conditions are not met. See the video here:

Blackface has now come again for 2face in an Instagram post he made this morning asserting that 2face can fool some of the people sometimes but cannot fool all the people all the time. See post below:

Reposted from @blackface9ja_news – So @official2baba trying to take intelligent Nigerians for a ride. But why don’t his fans ask him what he really did to @blackfacenaija . Didn’t he take African Queen without giving Black credit? . Didn’t he sing Let somebody love you without telling Black? Until Black called him out in the media before he admitted. Didn’t he add his managers name to that song to cheat Black out of royalties . When Black was down and almost out why didnt the preacher of ‘one love’ reach out to Black, until Black called him out for stealing his song. . After all this, why did @official2baba sue Black for N50 million claiming he didn’t write Let somebody love you after already admitting he did before. . NIGERIANS THIS IS FUCKED UP!!! @official2baba you can fool some of the people sometimes but you can’t fool all the people all the time. – #regrann

Many of his followers have since pleaded with him to let go of the issue of royalties and credits and instead, go on to release new singles.
