Nigerian pop star, David Adeleke, a.k.a Davido paid tribute to his late friend, disc jockey, DJ Olu at the 2018 Wireless Music Festival/Concert in London.
Following a vibrant performance of ‘Chioma my lover’ and ‘FIA’ which the crowd sang along word for word over the weekend, Davido used the opportunity to lead a memorial for his late friend DJ Olu who passed in 2017.
Paying tribute to his late friend, Davido wore a red tee-shirt with the inscription, ‘Long Live Olu’ at the back.
DJ Olu whose full name is Olugbenga Abiodun was found dead alongside one of the crew memebers, Chime Amaechi in a BMW car in a garage on Block B, Banana Island, Lagos.
They were both aged 25. DJ Olu was the son of an oil magnate, Dapo Abiodun.
Hard drugs were said to have been recovered from his car by the Lagos State Police Command but his family released a statement urging the public to “disregard insinuations” about the cause of his death.
