“I’m Bringing My Music To The Street” – Paul Okoye
Popular Nigerian artiste, Paul Okoye, member of the defunct ‘P-square’ group has revealed that he is bent on getting closer to his fans by bringing his music to the street.
In a recent chat on the ‘Wetin Dey’ show, the father-of-three said;
“I’m bringing my music to the street and ‘FIRE FIRE’ is an example. The remix video will be shot in Ajegunle and will be released soon”.
When asked about the origin of his name – Rudeboy. Paul made it known that during his production days (as a music producer), he was mistook as rude because of his approach to some artiste who couldn’t meet up or convince him to work with them, especially artistes with poor vocals. Then, his boss would talk to him about how artistes perceived his as rude, by saying “that boy too rude”. This led to accepting the name.
He further revealed that he was receiving as low as #800 – #1000 to produce songs back then and it was his motivation.
